The company name Lethu’tula, which means “to bring peace,” clearly describes its philosophy of creating a friendly and tranquil environment and a pleasant ambiance. In January 2008 when the opportunity arose to assume full responsibility for the operations of the staff canteen of Bell Dewar Inc/Fasken , Phillip seized this opportunity to operate the canteen under the umbrella of Lethu’tula Caterers. In May 2009, the services to Fasken Inc. expanded to include the in-house supply of coffee, tea and water coolers. An exciting new additional opportunity presented itself when Lethu’tula was the successful candidate in offering its services as the operator of a new canteen facility at MSA Africa. This project was initiated by Lethut’ula from ground level and included his full involvement in the set-up and lay-out of the new canteen and kitchen facility. Business has been expanding ever since, to include the Macdonald head office canteen/McCafe in Sandton. Lethu’tula Caterers also provides function catering services according to individual client requirements and in addition Phillip offers his services as a food service consultant to the food industry. Lethu’tula Caterers CC is a 100% wholly owned Black Empowerment Enterprise.
